Seimet, Johnson Named Vito's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Matt Johnson and volleyball player Kallie Seimet.
Male Athlete of the Week
Matt Johnson, a redshirt senior from Harrisburg, Pa., went 43-of-59 for 402 yards passing and a touchdown Saturday in a 35-28 win at Purdue. Johnson became the first player in BGSU football history have four 400-yard passing game in a career, doing so in each of the first four games of the 2015 season. His 43 completions were tied for third-most in school history in a single game, helping Bowling Green to defeat two Big Ten teams on the road in the same season for the first time.
Female Athlete of the Week
Kallie Seimet, a freshman from Oregon, Ohio, averaged 4.71 digs per set in her first two Mid-American Conference matches of her career. In total, she had 33 digs, three assists, a kill and an ace on the weekend for the Falcons. She began the weekend with a match-high 18 digs against Ohio and then added a team-high 15 digs at Kent State.
