Denny, Myers Named Vito's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Zack Denny and women's basketball player Rachel Myers.

Male Athlete of the Week
Zack Denny, a junior from Germantown, Ohio, posted his second straight double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Falcons to an 87-56 home win over Oakland City in the final non-conference game of the season. Denny, who has now tallied a team-high four double-doubles on the season, has scored in double figures in 10 games this year. He has also made at least one three-point basket in all 13 games thus far this season and in a total of 17 straight games dating back to last year.

Female Athlete of the Week
Rachel Myers, a sophomore from Findlay, Ohio, tied for game-high scoring honors with a season-best 16 points in a 64-58 win at Miami. Myers went 6-of-9 from the field, hitting 4-of-6 three-point attempts in the contest as BGSU battled back from a 14-point deficit to pick up the road win. Myers tied her career high in three-point field goals made and scored 11 of her points in the second half.
