Morgan, Garda Named Vito's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player James Morgan and volleyball player Madeline Garda.
Male Athlete of the Week
James Morgan, a redshirt freshman from Green Bay, Wisc., went 25-of-38 for 335 yards and five touchdowns Saturday at Toledo. He led the Falcons on a furious comeback, going 10-of-13 for 166 yards and three touchdowns in the fourth quarter alone. He became the first freshman in program history to throw for 250 or more yards in three straight games.
Female Athlete of the Week
Madeline Garda, a senior from West Chester, Ohio, had another strong defensive week, posting 41 digs in a pair of three-set sweeps over Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan. She improved her nation-leading average to 6.83 digs per set. In Friday's win over EMU, she also had seven aces, the second-most in school history.
