Narro Makes the Cut After 36 Holes of Action at LAAC

PANAMA CITY, Panama – In the second round of the Latin America Amateur Classic, Bowling Green senior Jose Narro carded a round of 78 for a two round total of 149, +9. At the Panama City Golf Club, Narro recorded 12 pars in his second round of action.
The Tampico, Mexico native opened the four day tournament with a round of 71, and now currently sits tied for 49th overall in a field of 108 players. Narro successfully made the cut to the top 52 players in the Championship, and will play through the next two rounds of play. This makes it the third consecutive year in which Narro has made the cut, leading to a 36th place finish in 2016, as well as a 27th place finish in 2015.
Alvaro E. Ortiz of Costa Rice currently tops the leaderboard with a 36-hole score of 137, -6. Through the first two days of play, Ortiz carded rounds of 71 and 66 to lead the tournament.
