Narro Completes Third Round of 2016 LAAC

PANAMA CITY, Panama – Bowling Green men's golf senior Jose Narro completed the third day of the Latin America Amateur Championship and currently sits in 52nd place overall in a field of 108 players.
A native of Tampico, Mexico, Narro opened the four-day tournament with a round of 71, and successfully made the cut for the remainder of the tournament by marking a round of 78 in Friday's second round. Narro's third round of 84 brings him to a 54-hole score of 233, +23 and just two strokes behind Max Alverio of Peru, who sits in 51st with a 231, +21.
Narro had finished 36th overall in the 2016 LAAC, following a 27th place performance in 2015.
Alvaro Ortiz of Mexico and Toto Gana of Chile are tied for first overall heading into the final round of action with a total score of 208, -2. Narro will compete in the final round of play in the 2016 Latin America Amateur Championship tomorrow, in a 9:50 a.m. tee off.
