Jina, Macomber, Reynolds & Souahy to lead BGSU in 2017
A veteran quartet will lead the Bowling Green State University men's soccer team in the 2017 season. Seniors Prayag Jina, Brad Macomber, Keaton Reynolds and Alexis Souahy will serve as team captains for the Falcons in the '17 campaign.
"We're very fortunate to have had some exceptional leaders over the last few years," said head coach Eric Nichols. "All of the guys under them have been paying attention, and that's exactly what has happened with this group. We graduated some great leaders last year, and this group of captains has done a nice job of taking over.
"Every leader is different, and every group of leaders is different. We don't want these guys to change when they become leaders. They are leaders because of what they have done. We want them to keep doing what they do, and just realize that all of their actions have an even more profound impact now. We're lucky to have these guys."

Jina, a native of Aurora, Ohio, has seen his playing time limited due to injuries for much of his career, but has recorded two assists in 16 career matches as a Falcon. Macomber, who hails from Muskegon, Mich., has played in 55 career contests, starting 34, and has eight points on a pair of goals and four assists. He started all 19 matches for the Falcons a year ago
Reynolds, from Noblesville, Ind., has seen action in 34 matches for the Orange and Brown, including 29 over the past two years. He has seven career points on a pair of goals and three assists, and scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in last season's victory over Appalachian State. Souahy, a native of Saint Etienne au Mont, France, attended Notre Dame College as a freshman, but has started all 38 of BG's matches over the last two seasons. He has scored nine points at BGSU, on three goals and three assists. Last year, he scored both goals in a 2-1 win at Northern Kentucky, and also helped the Falcon defense record eight shutouts on the season.
