Brennan, Peter Pugliese, Wrobel & Maciejewski all earn OCSA honors
Four Bowling Green State University men's soccer standout have been named to the 2018 Academic All-Ohio Team by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA). Senior Peter Pugliese and juniors Chris Brennan and Tom Wrobel all were named to the first team, while junior Charlie Maciejewski earned honorable mention.
Puglese was named to the team for the second-straight season.
BGSU's total of four honorees tied the Falcons for second among all schools in the state. Xavier had five Academic All-Ohio Team members, while Wright State matched the Falcons with four.
BGSU and WSU were the only schools to have three first-team selections.
Brennan, a native of Copley, Ohio (Copley HS), was a 2018 team captain for coach Eric Nichols and the Falcons. He was named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team for the second-straight year ... was ranked No. 14 on Top Drawer Soccer's preseason list of the top-20 players in the MAC. Brennan played in 15 matches this past season, making nine starts, and had three points on a goal and an assist. A three-time Academic All-MAC Team selection, he scored his first goal as a Falcon on Senior Night, as BGSU shut down SIUE, 2-0, at Cochrane Stadium. Wrobel has been named to the Academic All-MAC Team in each of the last two years. He has played in 29 career matches, making 26 starts, as a Falcon.
