Sullivan, Platts Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's soccer player Chris Sullivan and swimmer Daisy Platts.
Male Athlete of the Week
Chris Sullivan, a junior from Naperville, Ill., was involved in the scoring of five of BGSU's seven goals last week, as the Falcons posted a pair of shutout wins. Sullivan had a goal and four assists on the week. He had the first four-point game of his career, with a goal and a pair of assists in a 4-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne. He had the primary assist on BG's second and fourth goals of the night, and curved a free kick over the wall and just inside the far post for the Falcons' third goal. Then, he had his second consecutive two-assist match as BGSU topped Mid-American Conference foe West Virginia, 3-0. Sullivan had assists on both of the Falcons' second-half goals to put the match out of team.

Female Athlete of the Week
Daisy Platts, a sophomore from Leicester, United Kingdom, won three individual events as Bowling Green swimming and diving team defeated conference foe Ohio 174-126. Platts posted the seventh-best time in school history in the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke, also winning the 200 individual medley. Platts was also part of the winning 200 medley relay team for a fourth victory on the day.
