Men's Golf Adds Brandon Rattray On National Signing Day

Brandon Rattray joins the Falcon Men's Golf squad on National Signing Day
The Bowling Green State University men's golf team and head coach John Powers have announced the signing of Canadian student-athlete, Brandon Rattray.
Rattray is a native of Saint-Bruno, Quebec, Canada and attended Cegep Andre-Laurendeau. While there, he earned the All-Canadian Academic Award. He was a member of the 2018 CCAA Ping National Championship team, the 2019 CCAA Ping National Championship team runner-up, and earned 2018 individual bronze at the RSEQ Conference Provincials.
Among his accomplishments includes a win at the 2019 AJGA at Hiawatha Landing and a third-place finish at the Men's Amateur Provincial Championship in 2018, shooting 72-71-68-68 in his four rounds. Scores of 70-74-72-71 earned Rattray a 15th place finish at the Men's Amateur Provincial Championship in 2019 and was preceded by a ninth-place finish at the 2019 Under 25 Provincial Championship (78-70-66-73). Rattray qualified for the 2018 and 2019 Canadian National Men's Amateur Championships and was the 22nd-ranked junior golfer in Canada in 2018. He's currently the second-ranked 2020 player in Quebec, according to Junior Golf Scoreboard, and has a 2019 scoring average of 73.4. Â
The men's program is coming off of a fall season in which they won their first tournament since 2017 in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational. Rodrigue Vie also claimed a title as an individual. The team will kick off their spring season on Feb. 10 in Dade City, Florida. The Falcons have seven total spring events.
