Rodrigue Vie Leads Falcons On First Day Of Border Olympics

Laredo, Texas - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished the first day of the Border Olympics, hosted by the University of Houston, and currently sits tied for 13th place with a score of 598 (+22).
Rodrigue Vie led the charge for BGSU on day one, shooting a 143 (-1). Vie is tied for the most pars for any Falcon with 25 and is also the lone player for the Orange and Brown to record an eagle.
Nick Hofland is currently T-34th with a 147 (+3) and is tied with Vie for the most pars on the team with 25.
Dylan Fitchet is T-58th scoring 150 (+6). Fitchet is right behind Hofland and Vie with 24 pars and is tied with Hofland with an even 3.00 scoring average on Par 3s.
Curtis Hughes, Tom North and Ian Mackenzie-Olson round out the lineup for the Falcons. Hughes is T-70th with a score of 154 (+10). North and Mackenzie-Olson are right behind each other at +20 and +22, respectively. North shot a 164 and Mackenzie-Olson shot a 156.
BGSU will continue tomorrow and close out the Border Olympics as they are 13 shots within a top ten spot on the leaderboard. Play will resume tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from Laredo, Texas.
