Nichols, Falcons Add Two to Program

Bowling Green State University men's soccer coach Eric Nichols and the Falcons have added two student-athletes to the program, as Brevin Andreadis and Roberto Fernandez Garrido will join the Falcon family for the 2020-21 academic year.
Andreadis, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, will be a freshman in the fall of 2020. Fernandez Garrido, who hails from Valencia, Spain, comes to BGSU from Milligan College. A graduate transfer, he has one season of eligibility remaining.
Andreadis and Fernandez Garrido join a BGSU group of newcomers including Joey Akpunonu (Holland, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit), Kyle Blasingame (Oswego, Ill./Oswego East), Kyle Cusimano (Bay Village, Ohio/Bay), Jacob Erlandson (Waynesville, Ohio/Dayton Christian), Brendan Graves (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) and Patrick Koenig (Naperville, Ill./North). Erlandson, a transfer from Huntington University, has one year of eligibility remaining, while Akpunonu, Blasingame, Cusimano, Graves and Koenig will be incoming freshmen in the fall of 2020.

Attended Anderson H.S., graduating in December of 2019 ... earned four letters for the Redskins under coaches Adam Jones and Sam Miller ... had career totals of 37 goals and 22 assists, and posted double-digit goal totals in each of his final two seasons ... helped the program win two Eastern Cincinnati Conference (ECC) championships and three district titles, as well as an appearance in the regional finals ... a two-time selection to both the All-ECC First Team and the All-Southwest Ohio team ... the Redskins had an overall record of 56-20-4 during his four seasons ... captained the team as a senior ... named to the ECC Academic Team ... Attended Milligan College in Milligan, Tenn., for two years ... in 33 total matches with the Buffs during that time, scored 81 points on 38 goals and five assists.
2018 & 2019 AT MILLIGAN
Earned NAIA All-America honorable mention and was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2019 ... scored 25 goals and had a pair of assists, for 52 total points in 17 matches ... led the AAC and ranked third  in the nation in goals ... ranked first in the country in goals per game (1.47), points per game (3.06) and shots on goal per game (3.12) ... was fourth in all of NAIA in total shots per game (5.35) and tied for sixth in total points ... named to the All-AAC First Team ... had 18 goals in 11 conference matches ... his seven multiple-goal games included four hat tricks ... had a four-goal game as well as a five-goal contest ... named the AAC's Offensive Player of the Week no fewer than five times, and was named the NAIA Offensive P-O-W once as well ... in 2018, scored 29 points, including 13 goals, and was named to the All-AAC Second Team ... earned the league's offensive P-O-W honor on one occasion in '18.

BGSU closed the 2019 season with an overall record of 13-7-1. The Falcons posted a double-digit win total for the first time since 2014 and just the second time since 1998. BGSU more than doubled the team's win total from a year ago. Nichols and the Falcons had five seniors on the 26-man 2019 roster.
