BGSU Men's Golf Inks Ethan Irvine To NLI
November 13, 2021 | Men's Golf
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green men's golf team and Head Coach John Powers have announced the signing of Ethan Irvine to an NLI. Coming from Ancaster, Ontario, Irvine brings a long list of accolades to the Bowling Green roster.

"We are so pleased for Ethan to be joining us next fall," said Head Coach John Powers. "He has shown great progress in the past two seasons and has a great enthusiasm for the journey in this game. He plays a ton of tournament golf and can be an immediate contributor for us in 2022. Bowling Green felt like a great fit for Ethan from the first conversation we had and I believe he will thrive in this environment."
Irvine is a three-time winner of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, most recently at Disney Palms in Orlando. He also qualified and made the cut in the Canadian Junior Boys Championship as well as the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship. Irvine was the runner-up at the 2021 Ontario Junior Boys Match Play and placed 16th in the Ontario Junior Boys Tournament. He tallied two wins and three runner-up finishes on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour in 2020. Irvine averaged a score of 73.8 in all Canadian events during the 2021 season.
"I love everything about the men's golf program and Coach Powers' outlook on the future of the team," said Irvine. "I went for a visit in mid-October and really enjoyed checking out the campus and meeting the players on the team."
