KSU Series Moved to This Weekend
April 21, 2021 | Softball
The Falcons will host the Flashes for four games beginning Friday
The Bowling Green State University softball team's home series with Kent State University has been moved to this weekend, the Mid-American Conference office has announced. The Falcons will host the Golden Flashes for a four-game series, beginning Friday afternoon (April 23).
BGSU and KSU originally were scheduled to play a four-game set on the final weekend of the regular season (May 14-16). However, KSU's home series with Western Michigan, scheduled for this weekend (April 23-25), was postponed due to COVID protocols within the WMU program. The Falcons were originally scheduled to be idle from competition this weekend.
The Falcons and Flashes will meet in a 3:00 p.m. single game on Friday, a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday (April 24) and a 12:00 p.m. single game on Sunday (April 25).
BGSU (18-18, 10-11 MAC) has won three games in a row, including a 5-3 win at Toledo yesterday (Tuesday, April 20) in the Glass City. The second game of that scheduled DH was halted in the fourth inning due to deteriorating field conditions and will be completed on a date to be determined.
Depending upon the date that UT game is completed, the rescheduling of the KSU series means the Falcons are now slated to play the next 12 games at home.
