BGSU puts three-match winning streak on the line
• The Falcon men's soccer team is scheduled to take the field for the first time in 17 days when BGSU faces Western Michigan in Kalamazoo on Wednesday (April 7). BG enters the WMU match on a three-game winning streak, with 1-0 victories at home vs. SIUE and on the road against both West Virginia and Northern Illinois. The Falcons have recorded three consecutive shutouts vs. Mid-American Conference opponents for the first time since 2012.
• Achille Robin and Chris Sullivan recently were named candidates for the 2020-21 Senior CLASS Award. BGSU is the only school with two student-athletes among the 30 candidates for the men's soccer award.
• The MAC is the number-one conference in the nation in the most recent RPI rankings (as of Monday morning, April 5), and BGSU currently has the highest winning percentage and the most points per match of any MAC team. Five of the six league schools are ranked 48th or better in the RPI, including West Virginia (first), BGSU (20th), Akron (31st), WMU (38th) and Northern Illinois (48th).
• Sullivan leads the Falcons in goals, assists and points this season. He has 10 points through eight matches, and two of his three goals have been game-winning goals. With four assists, Sullivan has been directly involved in the scoring of seven of BGSU's eight goals.
• The Falcons have a record of 23-12-3 over the last 38 matches, dating to late in the 2018 season. Eight of the 12 setbacks have come by a single goal.
