BGSU Announces Promotional Themes For 2021 Football Season

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University football program has announced the promotional themes for the 2021 season. The Falcons are set to host six home games in the coming year with each one having at least one promotional theme. Season tickets for the 2021 season are currently on-sale and can be purchased at the link below.

The Falcons will begin the season at home on Sept. 11 against South Alabama, being the second game historically between the two programs. The home-opener for Bowling Green will also be the team's Heroes Day as well as having a focus on remembering the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
The next home game for the Orange and Brown, taking place on Sept. 18, will be against Murray State and is designated the Homecoming Game for Bowling Green State University. Events across campus will welcome alumni back to Bowling Green, culminating in the game against Murray State. The Falcons last faced Murray State during the 2013 season, picking up a 48-7 victory.
The Mid-American Conference portion of the home schedule will start on Oct. 9 against Akron and will serve as the 2021 season's Family Weekend. Set for a noon start, the Falcons will host the Zips while leading the all-time series, 18-9.
On Oct. 23 against Eastern Michigan the Falcons will feature a trio of promotions. The second home game in the month of October, Bowling Green will host their Pink Game to support breast cancer awareness against the Eagles. The team will also recognize the senior class with Senior Day, as well as hosting the annual Band & Cheer Day.
The next home game for the Falcons will be the Battle of I-75, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 10. In addition to being the Battle of I-75, the game will also be an Orange Out at The Doyt. The last time the Falcons hosted the Battle of I-75 they were able to recapture the rivalry's trophy.
The home portion of the season's schedule will conclude on Nov. 26 with the visiting Ohio Bobcats. From a promotional standpoint, the last game will be the Holiday Season Kickoff. Playing the day after Thanksgiving, the Falcons and Bobcats will take fans into the holiday season with the matchup.
