Summer Activities at BGSU

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Looking for summer activities? The Slater Family Ice Arena offers skating lessons for beginners, figure skaters, and hockey players all summer long! While the BGSU Student Recreation and Wellness Center have camps and programming offered to the community.

Beginning the week of June 6, Learn to Skate, Figure Skating and Hockey classes begin at the Slater Family Ice Arena, on the campus of BGSU..

Thirty-minute classes are available for beginners ages three - adult on Tuesday evenings. A fifty-minute class is offered for figure skaters of all ages on Wednesday evenings. A variety of hockey classes for youth and high school ages are offered Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesdays. Online registration and a full schedule of summer Ice Arena activities including Public Skate can also be found on the Ice Arena website.

Learn to Skate Details
The Rec and Wellness department offers a Summer Kids Camp every Monday through Friday from June 6-August 12. Camp starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.. Register your child at the SRC Welcome Desk or find online forms online at https://www.bgsu.edu/recwell/youth-family/kids-camp. All community members can Beat the Heat with the Summer Splash Membership. Community members can come to the BGSU Student Recreation Center for $89 ($15 per dependent). The membership is valid from May 2 – August 31.Â
