January 23, 2023 | Football
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green football program has added Arizona State offensive line transfer Armon Bethea, according to head football coach Scot Loeffler. Bethea will have three years of eligibility with the Falcons.
Bethea (Brooklyn, N.Y.) spent two years at Arizona State. He played in two games in 2021 as a true freshman on the defensive line after making a transition to help with depth. He returned to the offensive line in 2022.
Bethea was a consensus top-5 overall prospect in New York out of Erasmus Hall High School where he was teammates with current BGSU offensive tackle Tunde Fatukasi. Primarily used as a left guard as a junior at Erasmus, Bethea helped lead the Dutchmen to the New York Public Schools Athletic League City Conference championship. He also played in the All-American Bowl after his senior year.
