BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Eight strong programs from across the region are preparing for the 2023 College Spring League, which begins this weekend when Bowling Green heads to Cleveland State on Sunday (March 5).

College Spring League Info & Schedule
The College Spring League, which began in the spring of 2019, consists of two groups of four teams. Each team will play the other three teams in the group, and all eight teams will converge upon Columbus on April 15, for the final matches.
BGSU and CSU are in the North Division, along with Dayton and Michigan. The South Division includes Louisville, Marshall, Ohio State and Xavier.
Seven of those eight schools finished among the top-100 teams in the nation in the final 2022 RPI rankings, with five among the top 50. Four of those squads -- Marshall, Ohio State, Cleveland State and Louisville -- qualified for the NCAA Championships last season, with MU earning two national-tourney wins and OSU one.
Seven of the eight teams finished with winning records in 2022, with six of those teams winning nine or more matches.
Six teams embark upon their 2023 CSL schedule on the final weekend of March, with Dayton playing at Michigan, Ohio State hosting Louisville and Xavier traveling to Marshall.
All eight teams will be in action on back-to-back Saturdays (April 1 and April 8). Then, on Saturday, April 15, each of the eight College Spring League schools will converge upon Columbus for a total of four matches at historic Crew Stadium. The coinciding seeds will face off, with the first-place team in the North Division playing the first-place team in the South Division, the second-place North team facing the second-place South team, etc.
Ohio State won the College Spring League crown in 2019 before it went on hiatus in 2020 (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and 2021 (the fall 2020 season was moved to the spring of 2021). Last season, Marshall captured the crown, defeating BGSU in the final by a 2-1 score.
