Nichols, Falcons Unveil Fall 2025 Schedule
June 26, 2025 | Men's Soccer
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University men's soccer coach Eric Nichols has announced his team's schedule for the 2025 season. The Falcons will play a 17-match regular-season slate that includes seven contests inside the friendly confines of Cochrane Stadium.
"Our 2025 schedule is as challenging and exciting as ever," said Nichols. "These elite non-conference opponents, combined with a highly competitive MVC slate, have our players and coaches energized and ready for the challenge.
"We're especially looking forward to some great games under the lights at Cochrane Stadium, in front of our fans and in an electric atmosphere."
The regular-season schedule begins with a home match vs. IU Indianapolis on Thursday, August 21. That match, as is the case with all seven of BGSU's home regular-season contests, is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Cochrane.
BGSU then hits the road for the next three matches, ending the month of August by taking on Butler (Aug. 24) and Wright State (Aug. 28) before beginning the September slate with a match at Michigan on Labor Day afternoon (Sept. 1).
That contest in Ann Arbor is the first of back-to-back matches vs. Big Ten Conference foes, as Michigan State comes to Cochrane four days later (Sept. 5).Â
The Falcons then play a pair of games vs. teams from the Bluegrass State, facing Kentucky in Lexington on Sunday, Sept. 14, before hosting Bellarmine six days later (Sept. 20).
After a trip to Chicago to face DePaul (Sept. 23), the Orange and Brown will open Missouri Valley Conference play vs. Evansville. That match, which will take place at Cochrane on Friday, Sept. 26, is a rematch of the 2024 MVC Tournament championship.
BGSU ends the month of September by hosting Northern Kentucky (Sept. 30), then plays four of the first five October contests away from home. BGSU will meet Belmont (Oct. 3) and Cleveland State (Oct. 7), before returning home to face Bradley on Friday, Oct. 10.
Then, the Falcons hit the road to face Drake (Oct. 18) and Western Michigan (Oct. 25) on back-to-back Saturdays. Both the Bulldogs and the Broncos finished in the top 50 in the nation in RPI rankings last season.
BGSU's final regular-season home match is on Halloween night (Oct. 31) against UIC, and the Falcons then end the regular-season schedule with a matchup at Northern Illinois (Nov. 5).
Prior to the regular-season opener, the Orange and Brown will play three scrimmages, hosting Dayton (Aug. 8) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Aug. 15) on back-to-back Fridays, and a road matchup with Robert Morris (Aug. 11) in between.

BGSU finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 12-6-2, and the Falcons went 4-3-1 in their second season in the MVC, tying for third in the then nine-team league. The Orange and Brown picked up wins over UIC and Drake to advance to the championship match of the MVC Tournament, before falling in overtime to Evansville.
