Monroe St. Mary's H.S.: earned three letters and started for more than two seasons for Coach Joe Sanderson...started all three seasons at nose tackle and for three games his sophomore year and all his last two seasons at fullback on offense...rushed for 1,206 yards on 185 carries (6.5 avg.) and 11 TDs as a senior earning first-team All-Huron League honors on both sides of the ball...had four games of 200 or more yards rushing and one other game over the century mark for the Class B school...earned a spot on the Monroe Evening News all-star team and played in the East-West All-Star game at Michigan State over the summer...finished his career with 2,392 yards on 358 carries (6.7 avg.) and 24 touchdowns...helped his high school to a 7-2 record his junior season and an 8-1 mark as a sophomore...the team captured the Huron League title both seasons...
