Ohio native Jeff Clapacs was named the Director of Basketball Operations for the BGSU men's basketball program in June 2014.
Clapacs came to BGSU after serving six seasons as an assistant coach with the Arkansas State basketball program, the last two alongside current Falcons’ assistant coach Corey Barker.
Clapacs spent the 2007-08 season at LSU as the Director of Basketball Operations and Video Coordinator, helping oversee all areas of film, coordinating public relations for the Tigers, assisting with team travel, handling all equipment orders and inventory, as well as working as the director of basketball camps.
The Euclid, Ohio native graduated from The College of Wooster (Ohio) in May 2007 and after completing two seasons as a player with the Fighting Scots, he served an additional two years as a student assistant coach for one of the top NCAA Division III programs in the country.
Nationally-ranked Wooster compiled a 108-15 record during his four years with the Fighting Scots, including two NCAC Tournament Championships and a Final Four appearance in 2007.
Additionally, Clapacs worked as the Assistant to Operations Manager for Athletics at Wooster, specializing in event management. He has also served as a counselor at several well-known summer basketball camps, including LSU under Brady, Florida (Billy Donovan) and Duke (Mike Krzyzewski), along with camps conducted by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Clapacs earned his master’s degree in Sports Leadership from the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement at Duquesne University in August of 2010.Â
