Moment No. 9 From 2009-10: Lauren Prochaska Named MAC Player of the Year

Throughout the summer, we'll be releasing our list of the Top 10 Moments of the 2009-10 athletic year at BGSU. The list was compiled and voted on by members of the Athletics Department administration and the Athletic Communications office. We'll release the list one at a time until announcing the No. 1 moment of the year on Aug. 2. Today, we look back at our No. 9 moment of the year.

Lauren Prochaska Named MAC Player of the Year
Junior women's basketball player Lauren Prochaska was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season in 2009-10 after averaging 17.9 points per game and leading the Falcons a sixth consecutive MAC regular season championship, a MAC tournament title, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Prochaska is the sixth player in league history to be named MAC Player of the Year twice and it marks the fourth consecutive season in which a BGSU player received the award.
