Story No. 9 From 2010-11: Denise Van De Walle Announces Her Retirement

Throughout the summer, the Bowling Green State University Athletics Department will be counting down the top 10 stories of the 2010-11 year. The list was compiled and voted on by members of the Athletics Department administration and Athletic Communications department. We'll release the list one at a time until announcing the No. 1 moment on Aug. 2.

Denise Van De Walle To Retire Following 2011 Season
The winningest volleyball coach in Mid-American Conference history announced on April 21 that she will retire following the 2011 season. Denise Van De Walle will coach her 29th and final season in the first year in the Stroh Center. A four-time MAC Coach of the Year, Van De Walle has produced 13 20-win seasons and a 30-win campaign in 1992. To read the complete story, CLICK HERE.
