Falcons Well Represented among NCAA Stats Leaders

Flynn, Roth each lead nation in at least one category; BGSU ranked atop five team lists
The Falcons lead the nation in a veritable plethora of team categories -- five, to be exact -- and BGSU is second in a sixth. Individually, sophomores Pat Flynn and Jacob Roth each lead the country in at least one category, and a host of their teammates are on various lists as well.

Flynn Named MAC Player of the Week
As a team, BGSU is first in the nation in total goals (16), assists (17) and points scored (49), as well as goals per game (4.00) and points per game (12.25). BG is second in the country in assists per game, with 4.25.
Defensively, the Falcons are 11th in the country in shutout percentage (0.75), with three shutouts in the first four matches of the year.
Individually, Flynn is first in the nation in four categories: total goals (eight), total points (18), goals per game (2.00) and points per game (4.50). Roth leads the nation with five assists, and he is second in the country in assists per game, with 1.25.
Through four matches, Flynn has more goals and points than any Falcon scored during all of last season, while Roth has a higher assist total than any BGSU player amassed in 2013.
Four other Falcons -- senior Danny Baraldi, junior Ryan James, redshirt sophomore Max Auden and true soph Joe Sullivan -- are ranked in the top-10 in the nation in at least one category. With three goals apiece, Baraldi and Sullivan are tied for ninth in the nation in that category. Sullivan is 13th in the country in total points, while Baraldi is 27th.
Auden and James have four assists each, tying them for eighth in the nation in assists per game. Both players are tied for 24th in the country in total assists.
Head coach Eric Nichols and the Falcons, 3-1-0 on the season, play three of the next four matches at home, beginning Friday night (Sept. 12). BGSU hosts Northern Kentucky University in a 7:00 p.m. start at Cochrane Field, and admission is free.
