Allan Sawdy

Allan Sawdy was a mainstay at Bowling Green for 24 years as the Athletic Trainer. Sawdy affected many athletes lives, both as a trainer and mentor. The success of an athletic program relies upon the contributions that are made by men like Al Sawdy.
Sawdy was a trainer at Fostoria High School, as well as for the Detroit Lions, before coming to Bowling Green. During his time as Athletic Trainer for the Falcons, he was selected as the United States Olympic Team Trainer for the 1956 games in Melbourne. He was also the team trainer at the United States Pan-American games in Chicago in 1959.
Allan Sawdy was inducted into the Helms Athletic Trainer's Hall of Fame. He was also inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1967.
