Bernard White came to BG after two years at Ventura (Calif.) JC. He was an All-MAC First-Team selection in both of his seasons as a Falcon. As a junior, White became just the third player in NCAA history to rush for over 1,000 yards, while catching more than 50 passes. White had 1,036 yards of rushing that season. In his senior season, he led the nation with 19 touchdowns, while rushing for 949 yards. The Falcons went 11-0 in the regular season, and would play in the California Bowl as MAC champions that season.
Bernard White was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.
