Charles Share was another of Harold Anderson's center proteges who gained All-American honors after coming to college with only one year of high school experience. He set individual game, season and career marks at BG while helping make the Falcons one of the nation's top teams during his time at BGSU.
Share was picked No.1 overall by the Boston Celtics in the 1950 NBA draft. He was a 10-year performer in the NBA with Ft. Wayne and St. Louis. He was captain of the Hawks in 1957-59 when they were the world champions. He played in 596 NBA games, where he averaged 8.3 points per game. In 2017, Share was inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame.
Charles Share was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1964.
