Gary LaPrise won three straight MAC titles in both the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle event from 1960-62. In 1962, he added the 200-meter freestyle title, the seventh consecutive year a Falcon won that event. He earned All-America honors in 1960 and again in 1962.
Gary LaPrise graduated in 1965, and was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1970.
