Jack Woodland

Jack Woodland was a letter winner on the football team from 1946-49, while also leading the 1949 team as captain. He also gained All-Ohio honors more than any other BG player at the time. Woodland was well-known for playing all 60 minutes in every game, playing offensive fullback as well as linebacker.
Woodland gained two awards as a heavyweight wrestler on the 1949 and 1950 squads. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, but a leg injury cut his career short.
Jack Woodland was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1967.
