Jack Woodland

Jack Woodland was a letter winner on the football team from 1946-49, while also leading the 1949 team as captain. He also gained All-Ohio honors more than any other BG player at the time. Woodland was well-known for playing all 60 minutes in every game, playing offensive fullback as well as linebacker.
Woodland gained two awards as a heavyweight wrestler on the 1949 and 1950 squads. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, but a leg injury cut his career short. Woodland would then go on to get his Master's degree from BGSU in education.
Jack Woodland was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1967.
