Jerry Omori

In 1953, Jerry Omori recorded a then-MAC and school record .469 batting average, earning second team all-MAC honors. After finishing his baseball career at BGSU, he went on to teach and coach at a high school in Bowling Green. When he came into the program the first year, he led his team to the state semifinals in Columbus. He taught his team how to win and was a great leader to those men.
Jerry Omori was inducted into the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1980.
