Larry Arndt finished his career at Bowling Green in 1985 as the school's career leader in RBI with 162. The Falcon third baseman was drafted in the 26th round of the 1985 draft, and ended up playing in two major league games with the Oakland A's in 1989. In those appearances, Arndt played first and third base, getting one hit and scoring a run in six at bats. He was named to the first team all-MAC in 1984, and to the second team in 1985.
Over the four seasons with the Falcons, Arndt registered 11 triples, fifth all-time, 35 home runs, fourth all-time and the program record at the time.Â
Larry Arndt was inducted into the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
