Larry Smith

One of the top collegiate coaches in the country, Larry Smith earned three letters (1959-61) as a two-way end for the Falcons catching 15 passes in his career. Smith was a member of the 1959 team that went undefeated in MAC play and captured the College Division national title.
Smith had a career record of 143-126-7 in 24 years as a collegiate head coach at Tulane (1976-79), Arizona (1980-86), USC (1987-92), and Missouri (1994-00). As the head coach at one of the top programs in the country, USC, Smith led the Trojans to a 44-25-3 record, three PAC-10 titles and three Rose Bowl berths.
Larry Smith was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991.
