Michael Wilcox

Michael Wilcox earned his first of four lacrosse letters in 1972 as a freshman. He earned All-Midwest honors and a defender, as the Falcons posted a 9-4 record. As a sophomore, Wilcox led BG to a 7-2 record and helped the Falcons defeat Denison in the US Lacrosse championship quarterfinals. He captained the 1975 team as a senior, helping the Falcons post a 10-1 record in Coach Mickey Cochrane's final season. Coach Cochrane called Wilcox, "The best defenseman in BG lacrosse history."
Wilcox has been inducted into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame. In 2025 he was named inducted here at BGSU into the Academy of Distingushed Alumni. He also works with the Fiesta Sports Foundation and helps fund college athletics. Wilcox and his wife endowed head football coach, Eddie George when he was hired.
