Neil Ridgway

Called by many the best soccer player in school history, Neil Ridgway left BGSU holding almost every record possible.
The team MVP his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, Ridgway earned All-Amercan honors in 1982 and 1983 while he was a three-time all-region and All-Ohio pick. He was the top midfielder in the state of Ohio in both his junior and senior seasons.Â
Ridgway began his professional career in 1984 with Memphis of the Major Indoor Soccer League. After bouncing around for seven years playing indoor soccer, he know coaches soccer in the Kalamazoo area.Â
Neil Ridgway was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990.
