Paul Talkington

Paul Talkington, a native of Bergholz, Ohio, earned six total letters in track and cross country. He was the MAC champion in the six mile run, and earned All-Ohio honors in the three mile run. He also set 14 BGSU track records during his career. As a sophomore in 1966-67, Talkington was the Most Improved Runner on both the cross-country and track teams. He was named the Most Valuable Player on the 1968 track team.
Throughout his career, Talkington earned national AAU All-American honors six times, and ran in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in both 1972 and 1976.
Paul Talkington was inducted to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.
