Falcon Icers Fall to Miami

BOWLING GREEN, OH -- The Bowling Green State University hockey team rallied from a 2-0 deficit after the first period to tie the game at two, but the Miami University RedHawks scored twice in the final 17 minutes for a 4-2 triumph at the BGSU Ice Arena Saturday night.
Miami's Mark Shalawylo and Pat Leahy scored in the opening period, while BG's Grady Moore scored during a 5-on-3 Falcon power-play for the lone second period goal. The Falcons tied the game at two on Ryan Fultz's power-play goal just 1:45 into the third period.
Mike Glumac scored the game-winner at 3:29, while Nick Jardine added an insurance goal at 14:29.
BG goalie Tyler Masters turned aside 28 RedHawk shots, while Miami netminder David Burleigh made 14 saves.
BG is now 6-12 overall, and 5-9 in the CCHA, while Miami improves to 9-7-2 overall and 6-4-2 in the CCHA.
The Falcons will face Ohio State next weekend in a home-and-home series. Friday's contest at the BGSU Ice Arena begins at 7:35 p.m., while Saturday's rematch in Columbus starts at 7:05 p.m.
