Men's Golf Finishes Fifth At Legends Of Indiana

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished in a tie for fifth place (of 13 schools) at the 2000 Legends of Indiana Invitational held in Franklin, Indiana.
Sophomore Adam Balls (Woodstock, Ontario) had a 68 to lead BG in Tuesday's final round. Senior Jon Smarrelli (New Castle, Penn./Neshannock) and junior Brian Gerken (Napoleon, Ohio) fired final rounds of 71 and 72, respectively, while junior Justin Gillham (Perrysburg, Ohio) had a 75 for the Falcons.
Bowling Green broke three school records in the tournament: 1) Best team score for 18 holes with a 283 in Monday's second round, old mark was 284 set in 1991, 2) Best team score for 36 holes (Monday's second round and Tuesday's round) with an 569, old mark was 589 set in 1991, and 3) Best team score for 54 holes with an 863, old mark was 880 set in 1994.
