Volleyball Falls At Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team suffered a three-game loss to Western Michigan University Friday night (Oct. 6). The Broncos captured the Mid-American Conference match (15-11, 15-9, 16-14) at WMU's University Arena.
For the visiting Falcons, junior Caty Rommeck had a match-high 16 kills on the night. She had a .353 hitting percentage and a total of six blocks to lead the team in each category. Three of her blocks were of the solo variety.
Junior Shyann Robinson and freshman Susie Norris added nine and eight kills, respectively. Junior Natalie Becker had 41 set assists, while classmate Karen Tangeman had a BG-high nine digs.
WMU's Monyka Paul hit .565 with 15 kills in the match, while M'Myia McQuirter had 13 kills off the bench. Both Paul and Kelly Kuharski had 12 digs, while Ashley Ritter had 44 assists.
The Falcons (9-6, 2-4 MAC) will look to rebound Saturday (Oct. 7) at Central Michigan. The BGSU-CMU match will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Central's Rose Arena.
