BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Josh Almanson scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds to lead six Bowling Green players in double figures Thursday night as the Falcons blasted Wilmington 112-75.
Almanson, who did not start, also had 10 rebounds for Bowling Green (4-4), which extended its home winning streak to 20 games.
All five Falcon starters scored at least 11 points. Keith McLeod had 22, Trent Jackson 20, Kevin Netter 17, Brandon Pardon 12 and Len Matela 11. Pardon had 12 assists and Jackson tied a school record with eight steals.
Dan Shardo scored 21 and Jeremy Skeens 16 for the Quakers (2-7), a Division III team.
Wilmington got on the scoreboard first on a layup by Kevin Long with 14 seconds left, but the Falcons scored the next 17 points. Matela had seven of them, including a basket that made the score 17-2 with 16:09 left in the first half.
It was 57-38 at halftime. Bowling Green scored its 100th point on a free throw by Jabari Mattox with 4:09 to play.
