Oxford, OH - Bowling Green won its 400th CCHA regular-season contest rallying to win at Miami 5-2.
The Falcons took an early 1-0 lead on a breakaway goal by Adam Edinger 4:44 into the contest. Edinger's 11th of the campaign was set-up by Craig Desjarlais.
Miami would score the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes. Nick Jardine knocked in a power-play goal at 11:29, while Chris Knupp tallied an even-strength marker with 1:37 remaining in the opening period.
BG tied the game at two when Michael Jones scored his third power-play goal of the weekend 5:29 into the middle stanza. Edinger won an offensive zone draw back to Jones who beat Miami netminder David Burleigh with a slap shot from just inside the blueline.
Falcon senior Zach Ham's lamp-lighter at the 9:58 mark of the second period proved to be the game-winner. Ham's first goal since the opening game of the season at Boston College was assisted by Edinger and Desjarlais.
BG sophomore Scott Hewson netted his fifth of the season from a scramble in front of the net at 8:34 of the third period. Hewson was assisted by Jones and freshman Tyler Knight.
Edinger completed his four-point game with an unassisted empty-net goal with 31.2 seconds remaining.
Bowling Green freshman netminder Tyler Masters was credited with 35 saves including 14 in the middle period. RedHawk goalie David Burleigh made 22 saves. BG converted on one of its six power-play chances, while Miami scored on one of its five man-advantage opportunities.
