Former Bowling Green State University men's soccer goalkeeper Scott Vallow was selected to the A-League Team of the Week as announced August 2.
Vallow, who currently plays for the Rochester Rhinos, recorded back-to-back shutouts against Toronto and Boston the last weekend in July raising his season total to seven. He entered play this past weekend second in the league in goals-against average (0.45) and had posted five consecutive shutouts.
The Rhinos 'keeper had his scoreless streak stopped at 580 minutes in last Friday's (August 4) 2-1 victory over Montreal. Vallow's streak eclipsed the previous franchise mark of 579 set by Pat Onstad in 1998.
