Homestead, Florida - The BGSU baseball team improved to 4-0 with a 12-9 victory over Seton Hall, Saturday afternoon at the Homestead Challenge in Homestead, Florida.
Junior shortstop Nick Elrod (Harrison, OH) had a three-run home run in the seventh and junior catcher Tim Newell (Bryan, OH) added a solo home run to bolster the Falcon offense.
Sophomore lefty Aaron Nease pitched 2 2/3 innings allowing two hits and two runs while striking out three Pirate batters. Freshman Clayton Booth earned the save by striking out the games final batter.
BGSU will continue its trip to Florida with games against Manhattan at 1 p.m. and Indiana at 5:30 p.m., Sunday.
