Eastern Michigan defeats BGSU, 9-3

Bowling Green, Ohio - Eastern Michigan scored in five of the first six innings to defeat Bowling Green, 9-3, in the second game of a four-game series, this weekend. In the nightcap of the MAC twinbill, the game was halted in the top of the eighth inning with BG leading 11-9. It will resume Sunday at noon, prior to the regularly scheduled series finale at 1:00 p.m.
The Eagles (4-14, 1-1) were led by junior CF Gregory Anglin who had three hits, scored two runs, and drove in two. Senior SS Nick Soliz had three RBI, including a two-run homer. Senior LF Justin Hesse had a two-run blast in the fifth. Junior RHP Joe Linde pitched a 7-inning complete game allowing two earned runs, while striking out ten Falcons.
In the second game, BGSU (10-4, 1-1) senior LF Lee Morrison has two home runs, a three run shot and a grand-slam.
