
BG Wins Game One Of Afternoon Doubleheader

Athens, Ohio - GAME ONE
BG (13-6, 4-1 MAC) defeated Ohio University (8-13, 1-5 MAC) in the first game of the Saturday doubleheader in Athens, Ohio, however not without OU giving the Falcons a scare at the very end. 6'8" Freshman RHP Kyle Knoblach (5.1 IP, 3ER, 1K) pitched five solid innings in the outing, however OU was able to come within one run in the 9th inning, coming back from a six run deficit. Freshman LHP David Barkholz (.1 IP, 0H, 0ER) was brought on with two outs in the 9th to ensure the Falcon victory, recording his first collegiate save. Three Falcon hitters each recorded two RBI in game one, including home runs produced by senior RF Lee Morrison (4) and senior 3B Scott Dukate (team leading 5). Corey Loomis also added in two off of a 4th inning single.
