Athens, Ohio - GAME TWO BG (13-7, 4-2 MAC) fell to Ohio University (9-13, 2-5 MAC) in game two of the doubleheader this afternoon. Ohio jumped to an early lead in the first off of a 1st inning solo homerun by Mike Arbinger. In the 3rd, Ohio scored five more off of six hits, starting with an RBI double by Ryan Kyes. Bowling Green would score one run in the fifth inning, coming from an RBI single by Freshman DH Neil Schmitz. Junior RHP Brad Henry would also come into the game (5.2IP, 5H, 1ER) to relieve sophomore RHP Brett Baumgartner (2.1IP, 7H, 6ER) and would do a fine job, however relief pitching was not enough for the Falcons to win. Ohio's Denny McGee would earn the victory for Ohio
The Falcons will conclude their MAC series with Ohio University tomorrow when they meet the Bobcats one last time this weekend at 1:00 pm for 9 innings of action. The Falcons will then prepare for their next game on Tuesday, a non-conference match-up against the University of Michigan Wolverines.
