Oxford, Ohio - The Falcon hockey team completed a two game sweep of second seed Miami in CCHA playoff action Friday night, with a 4-3 overtime victory. Bowling Green advances to the play-in game next Tuesday, against an undetermined opponent.
Miami led 1-0 going into the third period. BG got goals from Kevin Bieksa, and Ryan Murphy (2). Miami tied the game at three with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.
BG defenseman Grady Moore sealed the sweep for the Falcons with his third goal of the season.
David Burleigh stopped 22 Falcon shots, while Tyler Masters made 36 saves on 39 RedHawk shots.
