Baseball Completes Sweep of EKU, 5-0

Freshman Kyle Knoblauch combined with sophomore Aaron Nease and freshman Clayton Booth on a five-hit shutout to give BGSU the sweep. Knoblauch pitched three innings, allowed three hits and stuck out four. Nease hurled two scoreless innings allowing just two hits, while Booth pitched two inning and struck out three.
The Falcons scored five times in the third inning, the big blow coming on a three-run blast to right-center by junior shortstop Nick Elrod. Elrod and Corey Loomis each had two hits for BGSU.
The Falcons will conclude their series at noon on Sunday.
