Men's Golf Tied For Fourth At MAC Championship

Westerville, OH - Sophomore Adam Balls (Woodstock, Ontario) carded a first round total of 72 Thursday at the first round of the Mid-American Conference golf championship, helping the Falcons to a tie for fourth after one round of competition. Balls is also tied for tenth place overall with four other golfers. The tournament, being held at the Medallion Club in Westerville, OH continues on Friday with round two, with the final round set for Saturday.
Kent State leads the way in the team standings with a first round total of 280. The Falcons are tied with Akron, 16 strokes back at 296. Also in the top 20 overall for BGSU is junior Brian Gerken (Napoleon, OH). Gerken fired a first round 74 to tie him for 19th with six other golfers.
