
Falcons Finish 2-0 at Cleveland State University

Cleveland, Ohio - The Bowling Green women's swim team finished 2-0 yesterday at Cleveland State University, defeating the host Vikings 138-102 and Niagara University, 189-48. Seven individual victories and one relay medal paced the way for the Falcons.
Sophomore Jessica Humes captured the 1000 yard free in 10:48.42, defeating second-place finisher Tiffany Laughlin by nearly nine seconds. Senior co-captains Kim Moden and Kelli Pydynowski won an event apiece, Moden in the 50-yard free (25.31) and Pydynowksi in the 200-yard fly (2:17.45). Angela Jones was second in the 200 fly (2:21.62).
Sarah Agnew won the 200-yard breast (2:28.27) and Kelley O'Hara was first in the 100-yard free (54.48). Junior Ryan Donley captured the one-meter dive (225.15) while Molly Peterson won the three-meter dive (213.85).
Taking the 400-yard free relay were Alissa Davies, Humes, Moden and O'Hara in 3:45.56.
"It was not a terribly fast meet, but a good one for us to get out of the gate with in the second half of the season," said BGSU coach Randy Julian.
The Falcons return to action this Friday, Jan. 25, when they host Findlay. The men's and women's meet will be at the Cooper Pool in the Student Recreation Center at 5 p.m. BGSU then travelsto Muncie, Ind., to take on host Ball State and Buffalo at 3 p.m.
