BG Volleyball Falls To Western Michigan

The Bowling Green Volleyball team dropped a four game contest to MAC opponent Western Michigan Friday (Oct. 4) and dropped to 0-4 in the conference and 5-11 overall. The Falcons fell in the first two sets, 30-23, 30-23, then bounced back after intermission to win game three 30-27, but then the Broncos came back in game four to win 30-20.
Posting impressive numbers for BG was senior middle hitter Kristin Gamby. Gamby nailed 20 kills and tallied 11 digs. Susie Norris added 14 digs to lead the Falcons in the backcourt. Sophomore Bridget Protas cam alive and slammed down 11 kills while also blocking two balls.
Setters Amber Mareski and Sara Sikorski split time and handed out 30 and 21 assists, respectively.
Bowling Green continues a homestand of five matches this Sunday, October 6, against Northern Illinois. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. at BGSU's Anderson Arena.
